Meet Jess
Jess has always loved wine because it’s been there for some of her biggest life moments—weddings, birthdays, and those unforgettable nights on the couch in sweatpants, having deep conversations with her best friends. Over glasses of wine, she and her friends tackled life’s biggest decisions: new jobs, new promotions, new cities, new relationships.
She believes good wine brings people together—it’s meant to be shared. And she wants everyone to have that experience.
Her career has always been about helping people make the best data-driven decisions. She’s seen firsthand how the right information can empower people to chase their biggest dreams.
Now, she’s bringing that same approach to wine—giving you the right information so you can find your next favorite bottle.
How Theo was born
After a long day at work, Jess went to pick up a bottle of wine (we’ve all had that kind of day). Standing in the wine aisle, overwhelmed and intimidated by rows of unfamiliar bottles, she thought—there has to be a better way to shop for wine. Then, she noticed someone else pacing the aisles, just as lost as she was. And it hit her: she wasn’t alone.
That moment changed everything.
Why we call her Theo
Theodora was a roman empress known for being bold & standing up for women’s rights (plus they all had wine like it was water back then).
And that’s the exact essence Jess wanted to bring for Theodora. We need a bold trailblazer to take on this male dominated industry on behalf of those who are the ones often drinking wine: women.
